Testimonals

“Whilst joining during the pandemic was a challenging experience, the endless support I received from both staff and the overall community made my time thoroughly enjoyable. It was an absolute honour to be the first RNCSF student to join The Leys and I hope I’ve opened up opportunities for my fellow Springboarders to flourish as I myself did. Wishing the very best for them all!”

The Partnership

The Royal National Children’s SpringBoard Foundation (RNCSF) is The Leys’ partner organisation in our ambitious challenge to offer fully funded bursary places allowing disadvantaged or vulnerable pupils to access the opportunities provided by a Leysian education.

As a social mobility charity, RNCSF works closely with community partners, schools, and Local Authorities to identify children who will benefit from the unique opportunities that a boarding school education offers. With a 96% retention rate we are confident they are able to match us with the most suitable pupils who will thrive and succeed here at The Leys.

The Impact

96%

RNCSF pupils completing their placement at their matched school

99%

RNCSF pupils achieving at least 2 A levels compared to 35% of disadvantaged pupils nationwide

1000

RNCSF pupils supported to attend leading boarding schools on full bursaries to date

The Opportunity

We know the Covid-19 crisis further reinforced existing educational attainment gaps. Two years on, many schools are still dealing with the long term impact on child mental health and school attendance. The impetus is stronger than ever – for those of us who can – to help create opportunity for young people who would benefit from the education we provide here at The Leys and to support them in their aspirations for the future.

Become part of the Gift of Education by making a one-off or a regular gift today. We are particularly grateful to those who make a regular commitment, standing by a pupil throughout their years at The Leys.
